How did you spend Labor Day weekend? I spent my Labor Day weekend NOT at Dragon Con for the first time since I've been going in 2003. Admittedly, I was a bit sad at first about not going. However, the weekend turned out much better than I expected. I did miss getting to see all my Artist friends at Dragon Con but I spent time with my loved ones here and got in some exercise and fresh air.
With Labor Day weekend and Summer officially ending...I say bring on Fall! My most favorite time of the year! Especially for going hiking in the mountains....
My boyfriend and I, his Dad, my Mama, my son and his girlfriend all went hiking at Triple Falls Sunday. We hiked and played in the water a bit and then retrieved the cooler from the truck and had a picnic. We had turkey and cheese sandwiches, my homemade pimento cheese sandwiches, chips, Debbie Cakes, doughnuts, fresh pineapple, Yoo Hoos and water. Whatever you bring for a picnic, it always seems to taste better after being outside in the fresh air and working up an appetite!
Being in the mountains always makes me feel peaceful and relaxed and just plain happy. :) We were all VERY tired upon our return and I slept like a rock! I hope you all had a wonderful Labor Day weekend as well!
